This weekGuy Martin in the hot seatGuy Martin has completed a successful shakedown test on a power-packed land speed streamliner as part of a bold 400mph speed record attempt due to take place on the Bolivian salt flats next year.The veteran road racer turned television star was in action at North Weald Airfield in Essex to carry out a series of manoeuvres to assess the machine’s ability to steer and brake.Called The 52 Express, the machine is powered by a 1200shp (shaft horsepower) Rolls-Royce Gem helicopter gas turbine engine and will attempt to beat the existing record of 376.363mph currently held by Rocky Robinson in the Ack Attack streamliner.The final attempt will take place at the Salar de Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia next July, with slower test runs below 200mph due to take place in…3 min

This weekClassic move from EnfieldRoyal Enfield have unveiled a renewed version of the Classic 350 for the Indian market, with promise of a shiny new one for us early next year, too. Classics have been an important part of the range since their introduction in 2008 and their presence will have been sorely missed. The new model comes hot on the heels of the Meteor 350, sharing quite a few components with the well-received little cruiser.For a start the Classic gains the new air and oil cooled 349cc from the Meteor, which creates 20.2bhp @ 6100rpm and 20lb.ft of torque at 4000rpm. This weekBoost for Baby Blade‘Honda say 60% CBR500R buyers are under 34’Honda have released new versions of their A2-friendly 500s with significant upgrades to the ‘Baby Blade’ CBR500R supersports, CB500F naked and CB500X adventure bike. For the most part the updates are the same across the range, so we’re going to focus on the sharp-lined, pure teenage eye candy CBR500R.The biggest change is the addition of 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston forks with associated new triple trees.
