Howard Blake's score is stuffed with tremendous melodies. Even the in-story "source" music is beautiful. Add to that, the Titanic name all by itself will spur collector interest from people who never even saw the film. But the greatness of the music itself is the main point. Someone should get off the dime and produce a CD.

It's not just melodic, it's got several great melodies, wonderfully realized and played. Lots of power and beauty. Wanna go plug in a request for this over at the Intrada boards? I'm not registered over there yet, but... yeah. I'm doing it.

I appreciate what you're saying. But a widely-seen film, drenched in really good music, with TITANIC in the title, should be a natural. I'm sure the CD would sell out. It may have been "widely-seen," but it is "widely-remembered"? That counts for something as well (just because you want it doesn't mean lots of other people do... as evidenced by how few posts this thread has after more than a year).
