Considering it’s got virtually every bell and whistle a fuel gauge would be nice as I’ve had a few close shaves nearly running out. The performance and features of a superbike, the agility of a naked and the legacy of an innovative concept born in with the Tuono R – a bike that earned both critical acclaim and sales success – but with an extraordinary ace up its sleeve: The features inherited by the Tuono V4 R from the RSV4 include the exhaust system with bypass valve, which is two kilos lighter than the system used on the RSV4 R, and latest generation Ride by Wire throttle control with three rider-selectable maps Track, Sport and Road. This is the most complete version, equipped as standard with a steering damper and the APRC second generation vehicle dynamic control suite. Smooth delivery, maximum power.

Aprilia Tuono V4 R APRC
The Apilia is outstanding and even comfortable dont change the seat aprilia you will lose feel all I need to do now is convicen aprrilia missus the pillion seat is OK. The Tuono V4 R maintains a clear parentage with the twice SBK world champion in the proportions of the tail fairing, saddle, tank and side panels, and is one of the best examples of Italian motorcycle design from the past decade for its perfect balance between formal beauty and function. Absolute beast if you red line in any gear you’re going too fast!
Some kling-klang noises in the engine when shifting down remind me not everything is plastic on this thing, As long as nobody’s leaving the ship, it’s all good. Ideal for the city or wet road conditions. APRC includes user-configurable traction control, wheelie control, quickshift, and even launch control; it really does help you ride faster, safer.
This means that the aperture of the throttle valves and, as a consequence, the xprilia of fuel injected, can be controlled independently. Considering it’s got virtually every bell and whistle a fuel gauge would be nice as I’ve had a few close shaves nearly running out. Vraiment un bike de fou.
RideApart Review: Aprilia Tuono V4R
Thirsty when pressed, however averaging over 34MPG with my relaxed riding style. An exotic brand, a hugely powerful V4, good suspension, all-day comfort, and the best electronic rider aids out there?
Reliability should be top notch too. Well, this Tuono Buono changed my opinion, ladies! Not for the faint hearted Naked RSV4 is among most potent and exciting of all-super nakeds. If you want to upgrade a Tuono or RSV4, spend here first.
APRILIA TUONO V4R (on) Review | Specs & Prices | MCN
The innovative valve timing system with the chain camshaft driving only the intake camshaft, which in turn drives the exhaust camshaft via a single gear has allowed the use of extremely compact heads just mm at the rear of the engineespecially in the area beneath the frame spars, which are thus much narrower than would otherwise be possible.
The system has been tweaked to make the more conservative settings even more suitable for road use, while leaving the racing spirit of the less restrictive levels intact; – AWC Aprilia Wheelie Control which helps the rider maintain control in extreme wheelie conditions by gradually bringing the front wheel back to the ground, has been appropriately adapted for the different weight distribution of the Tuono V4; – QS Aprilia Quick Shiftwhich allows instantaneous upshifts without closing the throttle or using the clutch.
I think its a beautiful looking bike and the quality of the components are great but its not as well put together as a Honda or Ducati the plastics feel flimsy and it does not all line up perfectly. A superbike with high handlebars. The handling is sublime quick turning and stable at speed. The seat is comfortable enough on journeys up to two hours, I would not recommend the bike for touring or commuting, but this is not what the bike is about. Well, riding with a former racer two nights ago, the Tuono easily walked away from his Z, simply putting down its power in situations where the Z would just lift its front.
Summary of Owners’ Reviews Overall Rating 4.
This bikes managed to put me back where I was 25 years ago: Wow the feeling on this bike is awesome and the noise of the engine. The rider will be taming this beast from a riding position tailored to create a symbiotic relationship between the body and the bike, for unparalleled feedback through the three points of contact – the saddle, footpegs and handlebars.
It’s like a 22 years old beauty, with brains. Lots of bike for the money. Double braced aluminum swingarm; mixed low thickness and sheet casting technology; Sachs piggy back monoshock with completely adjustable: An Italian streetfighter worth of the name.
APRILIA TUONO V4R (2011-on) Review
This technology, adapted appropriately for the prevalently road based usage of the Tuono V4, offers immediately tangible benefits to the rider, with triple mapping adjusting power delivery and maximum power selectable directly from the handlebar allowing the character of the bike to be modified to suit the rider’s personal riding style or the track conditions at any time. The stock pipe on this Tuono and the new RSV4 is unbelievably loud, straight from the showroom.
A race can on the demo makes a sound to die for and the bike is almost everything any ageing sportsbike rider could want Cast aluminum wheels with 3 split spoke design. Chuck Berry on fire in the ears, accelarations that make you fear for your fillings and even willing to commute!
The Tuono is superbly built, has robust paintwork and a polished frame and swingarm.
